After the pool on saturday, we just lounged around at home until we had to get ready to go out. Saturday night we went to a social event for Valentine’s day. We were under the impression that it was a club type thing. Not the case! haha. First, it started at 9, which was weird for us because we are usually in bed by 9:30 or 10! Then, when we arrived there, there were chairs to sit in. There were all the teenagers sitting around the outside looking kinda bored.. the beginning of the night there was a presentation by a drama group, and some discussions about violence against women, cheating, etc. We knew that the teenagers didnt come to listen to this. Everything was in Swahili so we had a hard time understanding..Then, we figured out what everyone was waiting for. A popular singer came on the stage and sang 4-5 songs. everyone loved it! The real hit of the night came after. A bongo flava group came up next and everyone went CRAZZY! grabbing at them and everything. they call them the king of rhymes and the group is originally from Morogoro which was awesome! I am definitely buying their cd!

Sunday was reeeeally laid back. finally we had nothing to do, so we lounged around the house most of the day and played cards for a while.
