Wednesday started off really cool.. i went on a home visit which means that i went to the house of someone who is living with HIV/AIDS.. it ended up being a lot different than i expected, but still a really interesting experience.. I went to meet with a mama who would be taking me to the house.. when we arrived, it was a house made of bricks and mud.. the room which they lived in was about 5×5 m..there was a bed and that is pretty much it.. they brought some stools in for us to sit on from the neighbours.. i was expeceting to play with the kid and just let them show me their living space.. the kid was 1 and a half and terrified of me…he has not yet been tested for HIV because the mom is too scared to do so.. she is HIV positive…she has another son who is 10 years old and is living with his grandmother far away.. we pretty much sat their in silence and i ended up leaving a ball and some pencils, crayons and paper for the boy to play with when i left.. i didnt even get any pictures, the visit lasted about 15 minutes and was practically speechless.. these visits have happened in the past and generally the kids are older and so willing to play/ be around you so it was a very strange experience and much different than waht i was expecting..

i pretty much had the remainder of the day off.. then it was home for my “birthday dinner” we had chipsi (fries), rice, beans, mango juice, and TONS of fruit.. so it was pretty awesome! i was so full after it! i had bought myself a chocolate bar earlier that day, so i treated myself after 🙂

Thursday was a good day, I got a lot done, I had to facilitate the literacy class by myself again because Gina was still sick.. it was pretty straight forward though because we were at the internet and the group was just typing up their speech..after their class i stayed at the internet to get some stuff done for university/ a job when i get home.. because as much as i am loving it here, i still have a life i have to get back to once i am home!

i got my dress back from the fundi and after a couple alterations, it looked awesome!! so i am sooooo pumped about that.. i cant wait to wear it once i am home.. it is too revealing for here (shows my shoulders) so i cant wear it till then!

netball was good again.. i always find it interesting to see the toys that kids make.. a couple kids were pulling themselves around on a empty jug with a string, and others were sitting on the wheels from an office chair with a string..

i still have lots more to update on but my time is running out, so i will write more later!!
