Dolphin tour
A lot has happened in the last few days! after the spice tour we spent another day in stonetown because a friend of ours from yci was back in town. she showed us around which was really cool. we found the scarf store that i was looking for but it was closed, so we are going to try again today!
the next day we had a dolphin tour planned. it started in the morning and we were planning on staying at the beach for the next few days so we were able to keep our big luggage at the guest house in stone town. the first place we went was the jozani forest. this is where there are the colobus monkeys which can only be found on zanzibar island in t whole world. we werent there for long, but we saw tons of monkeys and got lots of pictures. it was raining again so we had to have umbrellas for the tour. oh well!
after the forest, we headed to the sothern tip os the island to kizim kazi where there are tons of wild dolphins. we got in a small boat and then just drove out a bit off from shore. all of a sudden there was a big pack of dolphins swimming right beside us! Kaiza just said “jump now!” we had no idea that we were just supposed to jump in so we werent ready at all. we quickly got our clothes off and our flippers on. the boat would just find a pack of dolphins, boat in front of them and then we would jumopmp in the water. the first time we did that i was so close to some that i could have touched them. it was super cool! unfortunately we didnt get that close to them again. i only saw them under water one more time. we saw a few of them jump and do flips in the air which was really cool!
that ended our tour for the day. we were planning on staying at jambiani beach for the next few days which was on the way back to stonetown.
