Wrestling match
I’m playing a little catch up on the last few days. I am writing this from Uyuni, a small town where we are leaving to do a 3 day tour of the salt flats in about an hour. There is no wifi, so these posts will be a bit out of date, but better late than never!
On Sunday I had a relaxing morning sitting in San Francisco square in La Paz just watching the hustle and bustle of a large town. I didn’t have an agenda for the day and was happy to just hang out. As I was walking through the lobby of the hostel I saw a sign up sheet for a bus going to a local wrestling match in the evening and I figured why not. I’m happy I went and it was interesting to see, but it was about an hour longer than it needed to be and it was freezing cold. The best part was that it was located in El Alto which is high above the city, so I finally got a great shot over looking La Paz.
I don’t remember if I mentioned it earlier, but I ran into a girl named Courtney from Whistler the other morning at breakfast who was also a solo traveller and wanting to do the salt flats, so we decided to go together. Thankfully I ran into her again at the wrestling so we could plan the trip. After the wrestling it was dinner and bed.
