City tour
Yesterday I ended up going to a museum in the morning with a couple from my hostel. I’m not really one for museums but we heard it was a good one so we thought we would give it a chance. It ended up being quite interesting and worth the time and money. It was quite modern and even though it was all in Spanish I enjoyed it.
In the afternoon I did the city tour that ended up taking 4 hours bit I loved every minute. It felt like a private tour because there were only 2 of us who showed up for it. We went by San Pedro prison that I had heard about but not seen. I recommend looking it up to read about it, it’s a prison run by the inmates and the families of the inmates live in there with them. There is also a book called Marching Powder that tells about one man’s experience in the prison. We walked through some massive markets and went to a beautiful lookout point overlooking La Paz. The guide even took me back to the door of my hostel!
