Wine Tour
Yesterday was fairly uneventful other than a bunch of crazy elementary school aged kids keeping us entertained on their school trip as we lied on the beach relaxing. They were given a pile of sand boards with apparently no rules and endless sand dunes so they went nuts with kids and sand boards running and sliding around everywhere!
In the early evening we hiked up the dunes around the laguna and enjoyed a glass of wine at the top while the sun began to set.
Today we had a slow morning and then went on a tour of two wineries at 11am. Both tours were fairly short and then followed with a number of tastings. The first one was a more industrial winery and the wine was more what I like, but the second was a more traditional winery and talked more about Pisco which is a traditional liquor made from grapes that is known in Peru. We bought a few bottles of wine at the first winery and relaxed the rest of the afternoon at the hostel while drinking our wine 🙂 It is surprisingly quiet at the hostel tonight and our dorm room is empty, so hopefully it will be a good night’s sleep!
Hi Katie, so nice to see your smiling face. Travelling certainly agrees with you! Judy will be in Cambrige full time starting Nov. 1st. She is excited! Nothing much exciting around here.
