Lima
…so much for the pictures, I got 3 on and then it stopped working. I will keep trying!
So after the day with the wine tour in Huacachina my mom and I spent yet another day rrelaxing. We spent most of our day at the hostel by the pool so we could do some research about where we wanted to stay and what we wanted to do in Lima. We had yet another nice dinner before packing our bags so we would be ready to head out in the morning.
We caught a bus the next morning to Lima and it only took 4 hours to get there. The bus ride flew by and we arrived in central Lima by early afternoon. We decided to stay in the area of Miraflores at the recommendation of many people I had met along the way. My mom treated us to a nice hotel to stay in. The area is a more wealthy residential neighbourhood. The wealth was evident after walking around with nice building facings and the dress of most people walking around. We had time to do a short bus tour of the neighbourhood so we could figure out where everything was. It was well worth it as it took us by some ruins and then down to the coast of the pacific Ocean. The coast was beautiful, although quite cloudy. We had heard Lima it is often cloudy there. There were also some surfers enjoying the waves. After the tour I was treated again by my mom, with a delicious dinner at an Italian restaurant. Miraflores is known for its food and it the restaurant we were at definitely lived up to the reputation!
