Long week
I cant believe that another week is over! It seems like it is going so fast now that we are right into the swing of things. Thursday night was awesome. It was the first talent night that we have been to, and they happen every second week. It is mostly run by makho and the drama group who are awesome. This is not one of my projects, so i just got to observe..or tried to. It was intended to start at 4pm. We got there at 3:45 and thought we were in the wrong place cause no one was there.. Makho and everyone who was setting up arrived at about 4pm..the stage and speakers however, arrived around 4:30pm. Kids started to arrive in groups from about 4pm onwards.. the show didnt really begin until about 5:15 or 5:30…this was a perfect example of the idea of time in tanzania. Basically it means nothing.Things happen when they happen haha. None the less, it was awesome. I, however, had kids clinging to me the entire time. I would have 3 to each arm, one leaning in front of me, and one poking my from behind..if i tried to sit, i could not see from my legs down because they were covered with bodies. they were all adorable though, and loved us being there.
Friday was a relatively laid back day. I had a class to teach in the morning, and they i took the rest of the day easy. i bought myself some jewerly which was nice:) Man was it hot though, my grandma pointed out that i have not mentioned much about the heat lately.. that by no means has meant that it has gone away! haha. It is still hot as ever, but i am somewhat getting used to it.. not really actually. It rains fairly often though which cools things down and makes it bearable.
Today was AWESOME. We went to the Morogoro hotel and paid to sit by the pool all day. it was so worth it! There was a wedding reception going on while we were there which was really cool to see. Everyone is just dancing and singing and having a great time. We snuck some pictures of them while they were all dancing! We dicided on not doing a safari this weekend, but we will be going next weekend for sure! I can’t wait

Katie, sounds like this is just for you! I can hear it in your emails how much you are loving this. Doesn’t mean we don’t still miss you here! Brandon said you got to talk to him by phone. Isn’t that cool!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep up the good work, your birthday is coming soon.

When you are feeling the heat just remember all the snow you left behnd here – most os the snow has melted this past week but no worries that we will be getting more.
I was over at the house on Thursday and Joey got on facebook so I could see the pictures – it seems more real actually seeing you over there.
